Searching for “BNL Media Art Festival” on www.google.com/culturalinstitute will allow you to view all the media art works showcased in Rome at the MAXXI – National 21st Century Art Museum (April 13-17, 2016).

The BNL Media Art Festival is a project developed by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, in co-production with the BNL Group BNP Paribas, to create a locus of excellence dedicated to media art and the relations between art and technology in Italy.

The Google Cultural Institute section dedicated to the BNL Media Art Festival host over 100 images subdivided into 3 sections (installations, video art and sound art) showcasing the works of 54 artists from 21 countries. Artists include: Robert Saucier (Canada), Filipe Aguila (Chile), Wendy Plovamn (Denmark), Yanai Toister and Tsila Hassine (Israel), Maria Rosa Jijon (Equador), Yuk Yu Ip (China) and young artists like Mosoud Moein Eslam (Iran) and Cesar Escudero Andaluz (Spain). Italian artists include Michele Cossyro, Filippo Panseca, Davide Dormino Mariagrazia Pontormo and Adriana Amodei, as well as young promises Alessio Chierico, Lino Strangis and Giulia Marchi.

Introduced in 2010, the Google Cultural Institute develops technology to promote and preserve culture on-line. All the projects of the Google Cultural Institute are the result of collaborations with Italian and foreign partners: museums, foundations, cultural sites, archives and other institutions that manage proprietary content on Google’s technological platform.

The Google Cultural Institute aims to promote the available cultural information that is available on-line, in line with the mission of Google.
