Paolo Gatti

He studied electric guitar with V.Grieco,classical guitar with M.Bonesi and piano with R.Magni.He took the B.Sc degree in enviromental engineering and a post graduate master in sound engineering at the Tor Vergata University of Rome.He continued his studies at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Rome, taking the M.A. degree in electronic music.During his academic experience, he also studied computer music with C.E.Cella,G.Nottoli,R.Santoboni,M.Lupone,N.Bernardini.He is a composer, producer and performer of electronic and electroacoustic music. Some of his composition has been performed in Italy: at the Argentina

theatre, at the EMUfest,at the MAXXI museum, at the BNL Media Art Festival of Rome, at the Orsini Castle situated in Avezzano, at the concert hall of the Cimarosa conservatory of Avellino, at the Ennio Morricone auditorium of the Tor Vergata University of Rome and worldwide: at the Leeds Music College, during the IFIMPAC 2016, at the NYCEMF 2016 (New York Electroacoustic music festival).In 2015 his work for violin and electronics called Poltergeist was one of the awarded compositions at the end of the Claudio Abbado national prize. He recorded for VideoRadio, StudioloLaps and Neuma Records.In 2017 he composed the original music for the theatrical show S.P.E.M. performed at the Orologio theatre. He wrote music for poetry performances (such as the Palabra en el mundo festival and the poetry performance Fede o Sete).Actually he teaches various subjects in the field of the music and technology at the Absonant training center of Rome and at the Euterpe musical academy of Rome.From 2015 he collaborates with the Mondo Digitale foundation, leading computer music courses in various public schools. He also collaborates as an editor with Nucleo Art Zine, a webzine in the field of the contemporary art.
